The National Football Foundation founded the Hall to keep college football’s most notable alums in one place.
The Hall of Fame is open Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Hall of Fame is conveniently located near Georgia State University and Bobby Dodd Stadium, the oldest Division I FBS stadium. It is also within walking distance of the Georgia Dome and Philips Arena. The Atlanta Streetcar stops near the Hall of Fame.
Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by a three-story display of over 760 football helmets. You can choose the helmet from your favorite school, which will light up on the wall. The Hall is also home to a virtual reality simulation of the development of football equipment. This interactive feature is a must-see for college football fans.
On the third floor, you’ll find the College Football Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to the sport. You can see pictures, bios, and videos of the most memorable players in college football. You can also browse the Hall of Fame’s database of over 900 players and 150 coaches.
Whether you’re an avid college football fan or new to the sport, Atlanta’s College Football Hall of Fame will delight you. The Hall is open Wednesdays through Mondays. The museum is adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center and Centennial Olympic Park. Inside, you’ll find historical artifacts and interactive exhibits. The Hall of Fame also features a three-story helmet wall.
The College Football Hall of Fame is an excellent destination for college football fans and families of all ages. However, some visitors have found the entrance fee too high, and crowded conditions can make the Hall of Fame challenging to enjoy. Many visitors have noted that the staff is helpful and welcoming.
During the Juneteenth Celebration, the Hall of Fame will officially induct its Class of 2022. The Class of 2022 will be honored at Atlanta’s College Football Hall of Fame. After induction, the Class of 2022 will make their first public appearance at the HBCU Legacy Bowl in New Orleans.
The College Football Hall of Fame is located near the CNN Center and Centennial Olympic Park, near the epicenter of the George Floyd death protest. During the demonstration, protesters smashed windows and looted the Hall of Fame’s gift shop. Following the incident, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency and deployed the National Guard to Atlanta.
